2024, May 31. Costa Rica. A striped dolphin was stranded on a Tambor beach in Puntarenas (Pacific), while a pygmy killer whale was found in Tortuguero National Park (Caribbean Sea, Atlantic). This could be a coincidence, or a single event has happened to instigate agitation in the mammals.
MASS WHALE STRANDINGS CAUSED BY METEOROIDS AND METEOR SHOWERS. The completed paper can be found below in the January 7th post titled Connection between Meteoroids and Mass Whale Strandings. “It is not known why they sometimes run aground on the seashore: for it is asserted that this happens rather frequently when the fancy takes them and without any apparent reason.” -Arisotle

Meteor dismantled over New Zealand
2024. May 28. New Zealand, North Island. Tasman Sea, W.W Coast. A meteor was dismantled with two tracked objects coming into the atmosphere. The first: Time: 08:47:32. Velocity: 62km/s. Duration: 2.66 sec. LB: 172.45. LB: -42.41. HB: 119.75 km. LE: 171.17. LE: -41.28. HE: 107.66 km. The second followed approximately one second later: 2024. May 28. Time: 08:47:33. Velocity: 62km/s. Duration: 6.08 sec. LB: 172.68. LB: -42.61. HB: 121.75 km. LE: 169.84. LE: -40.04. HE: 99.70 km.
The first object travelled 165.20 km in 2.66 seconds and the second travelled 371.42 km in 6.08 seconds. A marine animal disturbance alert should be noted for the Farewell Spit area. Even though over a third is over land the event was large enough to be of concern due to the time of year. The two objects in the image below follow almost the same track. Hopefully, this happened 4 days ago, so we could have dodged a bullet.

Meteor Airburst in South China Sea. Updated Singapore Fireball - Two events in the South China Sea
2024, May 24. South China Sea. Airburst. Approximately 200 km from Borneo/Brunei. (latitude: 6.6, longitude: 114.2). e = 5.4. -e = 0.18 or 180,000 kg/TNT. This is 50,000kg/TNT bigger than the recent Portugal airburst/meteor. Altitude = 42 km. Velocity: 36.5 km/s.
Marine animal disturbance could be observed on the N.W coastline of Borneo and the Philippine Island of Palawan in the next 14 days. After this time interval dead animals are usually found. It should be noted a large number of cetaceans have been observed to stand in the area in the last month. This could mean a meteoroid stream has been active for some time; in other words, precursor material has been entering Earth's atmosphere.
The event below was near Singapore and can be seen on the map above. The event happened just hours after the Borneo airburst. Note: Thunderstorms and meteor activity are closely related, causing atmospheric disturbances that can be disastrous for air travel.
2024, May 24. Singapore. Large meteor/fireball. Time: Approximately 23:47.

2024, May 19. Time 0:46 CET (23:46 Lisbon time). A bright fireball crossed the skies of Spain and Portugal and as far away as France. Meteor (likely a fragment from a comet). It was travelling NW. delivering concurrent and delayed sound. Time: Lisbon time: 23:46 or 0:46 CET. The AMS has the following date/time: 2024-05-18 22:50 UT; 2024-05-19 00:18. Due to this event's atmospheric bruising, a marine animal disturbance alert should be considered for the next 14 to 30 days. Any animals located after 14 days will die quickly or wash ashore already deceased. Affected areas include the coastal waters of Portugal, Spain's northern and southern coastlines, France's southern coast, United Kingdom, Ireland and the Azores. Because of its location past the continental shelf, the risk to Cachalots (sperm whales) is highly likely. The meteor is said to have come in at 40.4km/s, travelled 500km in ten seconds and dismantled at an altitude of 60km over the Atlantic Ocean.

Meteor activity for New Zealand
Update 20240504: This time in the Christchurch region. I know this looks like a mess, however there is still heavy activity in New Zealand. They are close to land but without field-of-view guidance, it's likely the atmosphere is just as chaotic offshore (eta Aquariids). Anything over 2.5 seconds should be noted as a possible VLF radio wave source (electrophonic meteor) and the duration causes disturbance over a large region. The marine animal disturbance for 90-mile beach, the Spit is still highly likely this week.
Knowing how many whales are moving through Cook Strait would be interesting. Whales will divert their movements depending on the activity. What I would love to know is whether baleen whales move because of the activity or the excited activity of toothed whales?

Low and slow echolocation crackler
If New Zealand escapes a whale stranding at the moment it will be a miracle. A marine animal disturbance is highly likely. Anywhere from the spit to 90 mile beach in next seven to 14 days. If a stranding does occur, I suspect it won't be a clumping event, the whales will be stretched along the coastline.
2024, April 30UTC. New Zealand, Tasman Sea, S.W. of Auckland. Meteor. Time: 07:52UTC. Duration: 6.30 seconds. Velocity: 15.95km/s. LB:173.57, LB: -37.24. HB: 86.26km. LE:174.53, LE: -37.64. HE: 71.67km.
