2025, August 2. USA, New Jersey, Barnegat Bay near the inlet. A Minke whale, approximately 20 feet in length, was in distress and struck a small vessel in shallow water. It died shortly after. It comes after the 30th July fireball. 2025, July 30. USA, Fireball. Seen in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Travelling SW across the New York/New Jersey Bight.

2025, May 14. USA, New Jersey, 2.5 miles away to the north via Sandy Hook Gateway National Park. A14.5-foot Long-finned Pilot whale struggling in the surf ¼ mile north of the Ship Ahoy Beach Club in Sea Bright was humanely euthanised.
2025, May 14. Canada, British Columbia, Port McNeill Bay, Northern Vancouver Island. A young Bryde's Whale was found dead. Namgis First Nation and DFO are managing the incident.
2025, May 15. Northern Ireland, Millisle. A bottlenose dolphin was euthanised after stranding with injuries.
2024, August 1. USA, New Jersey, north side of Indian River Inlet. A female juvenile short-finned black dolphin weighing about 500lbs. stranded itself.

2024, August 5. USA, Farallon Islands. A dead whale of unknown species floating in the shipping channel.
2024, August 8. USA, California, Golden Gate Bridge, Point Bonita. A juvenile male humpback was found floating. Experts are not certain it isn't a different whale to the one above. According to data from the Marine Mammal Centre, Four other whales – gray whales and two humpbacks – have washed up on Bay Area beaches so far this year. One death was confirmed to be the result of a ship strike while the cause of the other three remains unknown.

2024, August 10. USA, Southern California, Torrance Beach. A juvenile fin whale, about 40 feet in very poor body condition, appeared to be very sick and in distress when it was spotted inside the surf line. Shortly after it died.

2024, July 13. Brazil, State of Piaui, 60 km S.E. of Picos, 4 km from Belem do Piaui, Malhada Grande. Large Meteor Airburst. Coordinates: (-7.4, -41). Time: 03:10. e = 59, -e = 1.5 or 1,500,000 kg/TNT. Exploded over rural farming allotments. Travelling east. Delayed and concurrent sound. This was seen at locations 650 km apart. The sound travelled more than 650 kilometres.

2024, July 17. Australia, Queensland, Brisbane. Fireball. Time: Evening. Caught on live TV.
Update: 2024, July 16. USA, New York. A fireball was first sighted at 11:15am near the New Jersey-New York border. Altitude: 49 miles above Upper Bay (east of Greenville Yard). Moving a bit east of north at 34,000 miles per hour, the meteor descended at a steep angle of 18 degrees from vertical, passing over the Statue of Liberty before disintegrating 29 miles above midtown Manhattan. Green, yellow and white in colour. Created ground shaking from a low sonic boom.
2024, July 13. United Arab Emirates, Port of Fujairah. A 20-meter-long whale was found dead three miles from the Port. In 2016, a 15-meter-long whale washed up on Kalba beach, after concluding that it had died after colliding with a large ship.
2024, June 18. USA, New Jersey, Delaware Bay. A deceased humpback whale was discovered floating in the bay. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is investigating the incident

2024, June 13. USA, New Jersey, Monmouth County. A 13 foot 2-inch long Beaked whale beached and died. It is the second dead whale found in the area this year.
2024, June 12. India, Kulsi River, Kamrup District. Gangetic river dolphin. Sixth death in five years of this species.
2024, June 14. Bangladesh, Kuakata Beach. A 10-foot long bottlenose dolphin was found washed up in Patuakhali. Members of the Dolphin Conservation Committee and forest department are investigating.

2024, June 4. USA, New Jersey, Island Beach State Park. Dead dolphin. Marine Mammal Stranding Center is investigating. Brigantine-based stranding center has recorded 26 dolphins stranded up to May 30.
It started in September 2023 and hasn't let up since. Fireball after fireball. The east coast of America has seen above-average meteor events. Since April 29 alone, from Delaware to Massachusetts, there have been 11 marine animal deaths. The deaths have been documented from Florida to Canada. These meteor events correspond to stranding cases.
Two incidents to write about. The first is a dolphin stranded in New Jersey in the USA. It washed up with blood coming from its eyes and jaw. I've placed a map up of where a meteor came in over the water. The upper N.E USA has seen some spectacular activity lately with one meteoroid seen in over 15 states on the 21st. It's worth considering at least.
The second incident is in the Hauraki Gulf in New Zealand. A mass fish kill has been blamed on a fishing trawler mishap, however here also the meteoroid activity has been very active. I thought there could be a stranding in this area, a follow-up from a meteor push, after the last prevented stranding below on February 12 of 35 to 40 false killer whales. The cross at the bottom is where numerous strandings have occurred since last October. It could just be a coincidence, but worth keeping a watch for any information in the future.
