Energy: e = 6.1e10; -e = 0.2 of 200,000 kg/TNT. This is the 22nd airburst recorded by NASA this year. Ratio 2025:2026 = 29:22. This occurred the same day as the Canadian event (see post below).

2026, February 3. New Zealand, W North Island, Kawhia, Ocean Beach. Pygmy sperm whale (Kogia breviceps) calf stranded and refloated. Unlikely to survive.
