2026, October 18. USA, North Atlantic. Fireball. Time: 2026-10-19: 01:15 UTC, Oct 18, 09:15 PM EDT near Boston. Trajectory: ground (start: 39.2, -73.3, end: 43.3, -71.2). Travelling NNE. Entered the atmosphere 100km east of Atlantic City and ended in New Hampshire. Two other fireballs were also reported over land that night on the eastern seaboard of the USA. No one reported sound from any of these events.
2026, October 19. USA, New Jersey, Middletown Township, Sandy Hook, Spermaceti Cove. A mass stranding of three adolescent Common dolphins. They were located deep in the marsh: one male and two females. They had been seen prior to stranding in the Shrewsbury River.
