2025, July 2. Mauritius, Black River Lagoon. A male pygmy sperm whale was found stranded. MMСO examined and measured the animal finding it in good condition and with no signs of serious injury. With the coordinated effort of the coast guard, the team and volunteers, local residents and boat operators, the whale was refloated.
