2025, July 13. USA, Alaska, Kodiak, Pasagshak Beach. A dead Gray whale floating dead, apparently killed by orca whales. The 2025 total of dead Gray whales found on Kodiak or nearby islands has now reached nearly a dozen.
2025, July 14. USA, Washington, Salish Sea, Whidbey Island, Ebey's Landing. Dead 40-foot-long adult female Gray whale calf. She had dents and holes on her tail and appeared to have a broken jaw, with blood seeping out from her mouth. The cause of her death is still unknown.
2025, July 15. Gambia, Gunjur Beach, in front of Sankulay Beach Motel. A dead dolphin measuring 3meters washed ashore in a moderate state of decomposition. The tail of the dolphin is missing.
2025, July 15. Argentina, Buenos Aires. Second dead whale within a week. Both whales were relatively small.
