Update: Two Common Spitsnuit dolphins (Mesoplodon bidens) also known as Sowerby Beaked whales. On August Friday 8, two stranded beaked whales were found at Åsa in Halland, Sweden. The Coast Guard helped the whales out into deeper water, but on Sunday, 10, one of the whales was found dead in Frillesås near Kungsbacka, to the north. The other was also found dead, on Läsö Island in Denmark, which is between Sweden and Denmark, on the same day. The ones found in Halland were 3.5 and 2.75 meters long, respectively.
MASS WHALE STRANDINGS CAUSED BY METEOROIDS AND METEOR SHOWERS. The completed paper can be found below in the 2024 January 7th post titled Connection between Meteoroids and Mass Whale Strandings. “It is not known why they sometimes run aground on the seashore: for it is asserted that this happens rather frequently when the fancy takes them and without any apparent reason.” -Arisotle
