Mass stranding on Socotra Island

2025, June 4. Yemen, Gulf of Aden, Socotra Island, Shu’ab area. A mass stranding of 80 dolphins. It is the second such incident in a short period. The island lies 230km east of Oman. 

Also:  2025, June 2. UK, Gosford and Seascale, near White House. Dead dolphin, 62km south, a day after Cleveleys beach incident.

2025, June 2. Canada, Nova Scotia, Andrew Island, Black Duck Cove. Dead whale in an advanced state of decomposition.

2025, June 4. India, Maharashtra, Ganpatipule Beach. A 4 foot long 12 kg dead dolphin.
