2026, June 13. USA, Florida, south of Orlando. Fireball. Time: 23:45:47. Sonic boom was heard 6 seconds after initial flashes of light and lasted over 15 seconds, with echoes (thumps) lasting another 15 seconds. This event happened during heavy cloud cover. Interestingly, in Honduras and Venezuela, similar reports occurred 24 hours later. In the image below, taken in Ecuador, three objects were seen travelling across the sky in what is assumed to be a meteor breakup. The June Boötids meteor shower event is currently active. The shower is active annually from June 11 to July 2, and it will reach its peak in just a few days on June 27. Taking recent events into consideration, most of this activity is disconnected from meteor showers, and an unrecorded background stream is more likely. This could result in large airbursts.
MASS WHALE STRANDINGS CAUSED BY METEOROIDS AND METEOR SHOWERS. The completed paper can be found below in the 2024 January 7th post titled Connection between Meteoroids and Mass Whale Strandings. “It is not known why they sometimes run aground on the seashore: for it is asserted that this happens rather frequently when the fancy takes them and without any apparent reason.” -Arisotle
