Between January 1st and June 15th, the North Atlantic acoustic monitors picked up 15068 definite whale detections that included Right, Fin, Blue, Sei and Humpback. On the 30th of May the Cape Cod meteor airburst event occurred. On this day, and the next, only 4 data points were detected. The 31st of June was the lowest data point for the year to date.
Also: 2026, June 14. USA, Tennessee and Missouri. Seen in 13 other states: AL, AR, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, KS, MS, MN, OK, SC and TX. Long Duration Fireball. Time: 22:26. Travelling NNW. Shallow angle entry skipping numerous times over the lower atmosphere and fragmenting. Early reports indicate the object created concurrent and delayed sound, a whipping and rumbling. There have also been two large fireballs in Europe, both creating sound, one in Italy and the other in France.
