2024, June 5. USA, Maine. A dead 40-foot female humpback whale, (Named Chunk, #9944 in the Gulf of Maine and North Atlantic Humpback Whale Catalogs), was found entangled in a fishing net off Cape Elizabeth and towed into Portland harbour for removal.
