Another whale stranding in Papua New Guinea

2026, September 10. Papua New Guinea, Raicoast, Madang Province. A large cachalot (sperm whale) washed ashore dead in a moderate state of decomposition. Cetacean strandings in this region have risen, as documented in previous posts. The tally includes two sperm whales, pilot whales and beaked whales.
